First Starfield review impression drops from leak

Starfield may be the most complicated game to release from Bethesda, a Discord leak from a journalist alleges.

It’s been a great year for games all-around, but the hype that many have for Starfield is real since it’s Bethesda’s first original IP in decades. Review copies for the game started going out yesterday, with most people who got one staying tight-lipped about the title until the embargo on August 31, except for a new leak from a journalist on Discord.

The leak comes from journalist and content creator Tyler McVicker who was asked about his early experience in Starfield, to which he replied with some general ideas. Apparently, Starfield starts out slow because there are so many complicated systems, which comes off as overwhelming at first. The screenshot was shared by a user on Reddit and can be seen below.

Someone asks Tyler what his impressions are and he says it's very complicated at first, but it's really good when it gets to the main story

Apparently, the game takes multiple hours to get into the main story, with McVicker stating that the “few opening hours” are weird. While many players will likely spend plenty of time creating their characters, it seems like Starfield may have an intro or prologue similar to Bethesda’s last major single-player game release, Fallout 4, in 2015.

There seem to be even more choices and complex systems in the game than players thought, which seems promising for the current-generation Bethesda title. Previous file leaks from Starfield also show an extensive magic system.
