If you’ve struggled working through past NYT Crosswords, try the Monday Puzzle, which are actually the easiest ones by default. NYT makes their puzzles progressively more difficult with the Saturday Crossword being the most challenging. The Saturday Crossword tends to involve more wordplay, whereas Monday’s puzzle is more straightforward. Sunday’s Crossword is supposed to have “mid-week difficulty” and are just the largest for the week.

We also recommend trying your hand at the Daily Themed Mini Crossword, which is definitely easier (on all days!) as it is 5×5, compared to the full-sized crossword (which is 15×15, and the Sunday edition is 21×21!). New crosswords are released at 10PM ET on weekdays and 6PM ET on weekends.
