Trackmania, the latest installment in the hit racing and track builder series from Ubisoft and Firebrand Games, has just released a new gameplay trailer for a collaboration with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It’s scheduled to roll out next week on June 19th, 2023.
Today’s trailer reveals that the crossover will feature a campaign with five tracks, a free Cup of the Day, and various rewards, including one custom car skin.
Trackmania originally released on PC as far back as 2020, but it was only recently ported to consoles last month. You can watch today’s new collaboration trailer on the Ubisoft YouTube channel:
Today’s trailer is considerably brief, and is also cutting it pretty short before the actual crossover. However, the footage looks great, with tracks that are making the most of the recognizable locale expected in Mirage. There’s a distinct ebb and flow, as well as some terrific lighting and architecture.
Assassin’s Creed is a franchise known for its parkour and freedom of movement, where players can access just about anything by climbing and leaping. It’s a signature feel, so it’s nice to see Trackmania pay attention to that with courses that swoop through towers and weave through streets.
Of course, the trailer even closes with a classic leap of faith, which should at least give Creed fans a grin. The car with that featured stunt is also the custom skin, which is a little underwhelming, but it is neat to see the Creed logo on the wheels.
Trackmania may seem a little obscure in the genre, but it has gradually evolved over time, and recently surpassed 5 million players. It’s great to see such a high-profile crossover, which may even give some more insight about Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s world.
