The next entry into the Assassin’s Creed franchise looks to take the game back to its roots with simple parkour and stealth gameplay. Now, developer Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gone gold ahead and its release date has been moved up two weeks to October 5.

In a tweet from the official Assassin’s Creed account, the developer confirms that the game has gone gold and it will release early. The tweet states that the entire team can’t wait for players to explore ninth Century Baghdad as Basim, uncovering the many secrets and deep lore along the way. This follows a similar trend of games moving release dates up this year like Baldur’s Gate 3 did months ago.

The next Assassin’s Creed title will take players to the Middle East in a game that is hoping to evoke the same feelings as the original. While the parkour has taken a backseat in recent larger AC titles like Odyssey and Valhalla, Mirage is some players’ hope that the game can return to its free running and smooth combat roots.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be coming just in time for the holiday, allowing a whole new generation to experience the joy of a classic Assassin’s Creed title.
