A new support page for Starfield has reiterated that the upcoming science-fiction role-playing game will be released in the first half of 2023.

Starfield’s release was originally scheduled for November 2022. However, back in May 2022, Bethesda shared its decision to delay Starfield and Redfall’s release to the first half of 2023. The delay is intended to allow developers sufficient time to polish the game.

Previously, a Support Page for Starfield on the Bethesda website was up at the beginning of this month as spotted by Twitter user, Starfield Beyond. According to a post on the Starfield Support page, Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023. With that being said, it is expected that Starfield will arrive somewhere between the coming months before the end of June. Moreover, considering Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, any future games from the studio may not be released on PlayStation consoles, including Starfield.

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, and has been referred to by director Todd Howard as “Skyrim in space.” The concept of Starfield had been kicking about the studio for quite some time prior to the year 2013 when they registered the term as a trademark. Since the launch of Fallout 4 in the latter half of 2015, the game’s production has been moving along at a steady pace. The game had left the pre-production phase by the middle of 2018, and it was already in a playable state.

In this next-generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, players may create whatever character they desire and have the ability to explore with an unprecedented level of freedom as they begin on an epic adventure to solve the biggest mystery facing mankind. Back in June 2022, a Starfield gameplay trailer was released, showcasing its character and spaceship customization, along with the vast galaxy to explore.
