Xbox has officially revealed that a new Xbox Games Showcase will premiere on June 11th, 2023, beginning at 10 AM pacific time. It will feature first-looks, as well as some of Xbox’s creative partners.

Immediately following the new showcase, fans will finally get the highly anticipated direct for Starfield, the upcoming sci-fi RPG epic from Bethesda Game Studios.

The showcase and direct will be available on a variety of outlets, including the official Xbox channels on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. Additionally, an Xbox Games Showcase Extended stream is also due for June 13th, 2023, with more interviews and updates. Here’s the big announcement from Xbox’s official Twitter feed:

Xbox and Bethesda originally teased the Starfield direct back in January, promising that the details were too expansive to join the Developer Direct.

Despite a fair warning, many fans were disappointed during the Developer Direct. So, hopefully they’ve kept an eye on things and will tune in for a lot of content in June. Xbox has teased “much, much more” will be revealed, including both gameplay and interviews.

While interviews about the development process are interesting and give some insight, it’s the gameplay that will surely be June’s highlight. Starfield has high expectations, especially given Bethesda’s long-term intentions for the game.

All of the footage has been released so far has looked very ambitious and created a lot of buzz already. It’s packed with worldbuilding and compelling, science-driven visuals. For reference, Bethesda has revealed fifteen full minutes of gameplay, which you can watch on the Bethesda Softworks YouTube channel:

Starfield probably has the potential to eclipse the actual Xbox showcase, but there could be some major surprises with game reveals in store. Some of the titles will also involve Game Pass, which is still one of the more rewarding subscription services available thanks to its Day One launches and vast library.
