Today, developer TeamKill Media has officially announced that the much-anticipated cosmic horror shooter game, Quantum Error, is set to release on the PlayStation 5 console on November 3rd. Alongside the release date announcement is a brand new trailer, offering a glimpse into Quantum Error‘s gameplay and narrative.

Quantum Error immerses players in a world where artificial intelligence (A.I.) is integrated into daily life. Monad, the most powerful tech company in the world, is responsible for the creation of the Advanced Retinal Global Unity System (ARGUS), a mandatory A.I. for all of humanity.

Quantum Error‘s story began to unfold in the year 2109 when the Monad Quantum Research Facility, located 30 miles off the shore of California, is attacked by an unknown entity. The attack engulfs the facility in flames and puts it under lockdown, prompting a distress call to the Garboa Fire Department in San Francisco for assistance.

Players will take on the role of Capt. Jacob Thomas, tasked by Fire Chief Sturgis, along with partner Shane Costa and a team, to rescue individuals from the blazing Monad facility. However, what starts as a simple rescue mission soon escalates into a nightmarish cosmic journey, where reality blends with otherworldly dimensions.

As players progress through Quantum Error, they will explore the depths of the high-tech Monad facility and beyond, encountering a range of enemies and bosses. Players can switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, navigating through the smoke-filled facility to save people, perform CPR, and battle adversaries.

The PS5 version of Quantum Error comes with exclusive features designed to enhance the immersive gaming experience. PS5 controllers’ Haptic Feedback technology provides a realistic feel, simulating sensations like handling firefighting equipment and facing intense scenarios.

PS5’s Adaptive Triggers enable players to feel the tension of a Firefighter’s tools and weapons as they resist, vibrate, and fight back with every action or while administering CPR. Players will be able to use the PS5 Controller microphone to deliver breaths during CPR. Additionally, the PS5 version benefits from near-instant loading times thanks to the console’s SSD technology and 3D audio that provides an immersive soundscape.

Quantum Error will also be available for PC and Xbox Series X|S, although the official release dates for these platforms are yet to be announced.
