The virtual reality fantasy role-playing game, Ruinsmagus: Complete, is set to launch for the PlayStation VR2 next month, on September 19th. Developed by CharacterBank, the game was initially released in July 2022 for PC VR platforms such as Meta Quest 2, Oculus Rift, Pico, and Steam VR.
Ruinsmagus introduces players to an anime-inspired world, boasting immersive VR mechanics and responsive controls that promise an engaging action RPG experience. The Complete edition bundles the base and its DLC, The Warrior and the Tailor, in a single convenient package. Players can also choose between a full English voice-over and the original Japanese voice-over with English subtitles with the Complete edition.
In Ruinsmagus, players will take on the role of a novice in the magical arts, tasked with investigating the abandoned ruins below the prosperous town of Grand Amnis. The town’s wealth depends largely on artifacts hidden deep within the ruins, protected by powerful Guardians. Players will face a daunting challenge, uncovering the mysteries that lurk beneath the gilded streets of Grand Amnis.
As a member of the renowned Ruinsmagus Guild, players must help in strengthening it with magic, resources, and wisdom as they complete over 25 unique, story-driven quests. As players progress through the story, they will encounter challenges posed by guardians and deadly puzzles to solve. Once players have successfully completed these quests, they may return to the surface, where they can upgrade their equipment and acquire new items in the town.
The PS VR2 version of Ruinsmagus: Complete leverages the platform’s advanced features to provide an even more immersive VR experience. Enhanced vibration patterns, new HMD rumble, and Adaptive Trigger support contribute to the heightened sense of immersion. Thanks to PS VR2’s improved 3D audio, the game’s environment comes to life like never before.
Ruinsmagus: Complete is now available to wishlist on the PlayStation store for those who want to be notified as soon as the game becomes available.
