Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, the anticipated platform brawler from Ludosity and Fair Play Labs, has finally released a full spotlight trailer for Jimmy Neutron. The new gameplay is somewhat brief, but thoroughly showcases Neutron’s central moves and tactics.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is currently expected to launch in fall this year. It will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. You can watch today’s new hero spotlight on publisher GameMill Entertainment’s YouTube channel:

Since Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 was first announced, the devs have kept up a surprising pace with the hero spotlights. The new Squidward spotlight trailer covering his kit was only just released at the end of last week.

It’s possible that even more of the roster could be similarly teased later this week. And even if more spotlights explore returning characters, it’d be nice to see how they might have been reworked.

Jimmy Neutron is an overdue addition for the game, and it’s a relief to see just how viable they are as a “defensive zoner”. Thanks to Neutron’s thematically wide range of tech, this is a very flexible character that will allow players to create key openings during battle and remain totally unpredictable.

The highlight is undoubtedly Goddard, who can be controlled independently by leaving Neutron stationary. But it’s easy to switch back and forth, and it could totally disrupt the enemy’s flow of combat.

Goddard can freely run across the stage, or players can carefully time a well-placed drop onto opponent’s heads. Goddard will be a remarkable distraction, and it reinforces just how effectively Neutron can cut through enemy defenses. Although, pre-programming a rocket on the fly will take some very quick-thinking.

Clever players could potentially go completely untouched for a while, and Neutron might even be a little OP at launch. But fans of the genre are certain to find it very fun to tinker with the sheer variety of mechanics.
