Sometimes there is nothing more enjoyable than just building a small civilization in Minecraft, with players only being limited by their imaginations. Minecraft was first released in 2009 and has seen multiple new iterations that have adapted to consoles, with some alleging that a new current-gen version could be coming before long.

According to gaming journalist Andrew Marmo on Twitter, the USK rating service in Germany has posted a listing for a new version of Minecraft on Xbox Series consoles. This could mean that there is a current-gen upgrade planned for sometime in the near future, as there is currently no native version of the console that has been announced. As of writing at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 17, the rating is still available.

The translated rating shows that the game has been approved by the board for ages six and up, with the organization referencing things like comic violence, pressure to act, and scary moments as its reasoning for the game. There are no new features added that show up on the rating, but the fact that it’s an entirely new listing for a new console makes it seem like it could be a new version.

While it’s been out for over 14 years, Mojang has not slowed down the development of Minecraft at all, instead releasing new content updates every so often that evolve on the systems already in the game. While nothing has been confirmed yet, fans should keep an eye out for other countries rating a new version of Minecraft on the Xbox Series consoles.
