Developers of the free-to-play multiplayer horror game, Project: Playtime, have unveiled Phase 2 Incineration update, which adds a bunch of new of features to the mix. The game, known for its thrilling, survivalist dynamic where six players work together to construct a toy while evading a monstrous adversary controlled by a seventh player, has gained significant attention in the gaming community.

One of the significant additions in this update is the Destroy-a-Toy map, now part of the game’s map rotation. The Phase 2 ToyBox introduces a hundred new items to unlock, and an updated progression and XP gain system that aims to make leveling a more rewarding process. The developers have also infused the ToyBox with greater item diversity, including Sound Packs, Loading Screens, and Dances, and players can now earn PlayCoins by completing selected ToyBox levels.

Phase 2 also introduces over 75 new items available for purchase in the store, spanning across four new item bundles: CRT, Pirate, Steampunk, and Reject Toy. Daily login XP rewards and a 250xp bonus for the first match every day have been incorporated as well, keeping players engaged and rewarded for regular gameplay.

The patch also revamps the backend storage system for Tickets, Perks, and Sabotages, enabling a more reliable way to store player information across different PCs. Current players who update to Phase 2 within the first week of its launch will receive an exclusive Gold Huggy Survivor skin and 1350 tickets to boost their Perk/Sabotage progression.

The Incineration update offers three new perks: Pathfinder, Claw Collector, and Puzzle Picasso, each enhancing specific elements of the gameplay. To assist newcomers, the Survivor tutorial has been rebuilt and now includes a new Arcade for players to practice the Puzzles.

Adjustments have been made to the UI in the main menu, pre-game lobby, customization menu, and shop, for an improved user experience. The pre-game lobby has been expanded with a new Arcade and Movement Course. Meanwhile, visual updates have been rolled out for new and previous character items, including new models for Huggy, the default hand, and all pride skins. Additionally, the developers have revamped monster jumpscares and introduced a penalty for host players who leave the game mid-match.

A host of minor additions have been included as well, such as a Streamer Mode, customizable Sound Packs, and a smoother, less erratic train. The update also introduces balancing changes for characters, specifically Mommy Long Legs and Boxy Boo, with alterations made to their abilities to standardize the kits for all monsters.

Finally, the developers have addressed numerous bugs and exploits for a smoother gaming experience, focusing on issues such as collision on all maps, carryover bugs for the character Mommy, and spawn bugs with Puzzle Pillars.
