Roblox BedWars has unveiled the Hot Air Balloon update. This feature enables players and their squads, comprising up to three companions, to dominate the skies and deploy TNT on adversaries below.
The developers have introduced a fresh game mode called Skywars Royale. This mode involves 72 players split into teams of three, who battle it out in a Skywars variant. Emerging victorious in this mode rewards players with the coveted Royale badge.
The developers announced that the 2 Year Anniversary shop would stay open for another week. Players are urged to spend their event currency before it vanishes.
The update brings two new maps to the playing field – Desert Shrine, designed for doubles, and Skyfield, a dedicated map for SkyWars Royale.
As a bonus, the update also offers free kits of the week including Cyber, Shielder, Archer, and Cobalt, with the latter requiring a minimum player level of 20.
The update didn’t stop there but proceeded with balance changes. On the kits front, Beekeeper Beatrix received a resource spawn rate boost of 25%, while Caitlyn’s initial decay duration was reduced from 4 to 3 seconds, with adjustments also made to her decay duration and damage upgrade amounts.
Enchants also saw modifications. Lifesteal now functions on non-players, with an increased on-hit healing amount, while Static and Fire both experienced nerfs in their damage and duration capabilities respectively.
In an attempt to improve user experience, the update introduced a button for creating pings on mobile platforms, upgraded to the latest Roblox chat box, and added a Famous rank for content creators. A Patron rank was also introduced for players who have sent 100 or more gifts.
