The developers of Roblox’s BedWars have launched the anticipated OG Update, an integral transformation to the game’s custom tools set. This move not only expands the possibilities within BedWars, but it also lays the groundwork for additional improvements planned for both the builders and the players. The team behind the game invites players to share their experiences and opinions about these updates on their Discord channel.
A pivotal element in this update revolves around scripts, facilitating the creation of new games and unique features. Comprehensive guidance on the utilization of scripts is provided on the developer’s documentation page.
An added feature in the OG Update is the ability to save Host Panel settings along with the player’s map, ensuring a continuity in game setup and a more customized gameplay experience.
Moreover, the developers hint at an upcoming feature that would enable users to publish their custom maps, thereby giving them an opportunity to browse and engage with maps crafted by fellow creators.
Taking a nostalgic route, the OG Update also reincarnates the original BedWars experience with a classic mode that excludes kits, enchants, and the forge, thereby taking players back to the essence of squad-based gameplay.
Aligned with this update, a new set of Free Kits of The Week have been rolled out, featuring the Barbarian, Farmer Cletus, Builder, and the Archer. The Archer kit is available exclusively to players who have reached Level 20.
The OG Update also brings considerable balance changes to the kits, impacting characters such as Vanessa, Eldertree, and Zeno (Wizard). Vanessa’s Headhunter ability now discharges three shots after a two-second charge time, the Eldertree’s health gain per orb has been increased, and the orbs themselves have a heightened likelihood of spawning near the center of the map. For the Wizard character, Zeno, the damage outputs for Lightning Strike, Shock Wave, and Lightning Storm have all been boosted.
Additionally, alterations have been made to the Execute III enchant, which now activates at a higher health threshold, thereby offering more versatility during gameplay.
Wrapping up the update are an assortment of other amendments, such as a fix for a bug that previously hindered upgrades in the forge, the patching of multiple exploits, a reduction in lag while using the Fortuna feature, and an enhancement to the lobby lighting.
