Epic Games warns Fortnite Global Championship players against competing if already qualified

Epic Games will disqualify any FNCS Last Chance Major competitors who've already gotten access to the Global Championship.

While many other titles’ futures in the esports scene are undergoing major shifts, Fortnite is getting ready to host its next Global Championship in the coming months. However, the developer has posted an official warning against those who already have slots in the FNCS Global event from competing in a current event. Otherwise, they risk being disqualified.

Apparently, some users who were already qualified for the FNCS Global Championship in October were still competing in the FNCS Last Change Major. This could prevent spots being awarded to players who’ve yet to qualify and Epic Games has made it clear that even competing in this tournament can lead to their disqualification.

Getting to compete in the Fortnite Global Championship games is one of the most impressive accomplishments in the game. Those who aren’t aware of this rule change could lose access to the FNCS Global without realizing it. Hopefully, Epic will also find a way to push this warning to currently qualified players to avoid any accidental disqualifications.

This is likely just a warning as no one has been confirmed to be disqualified and players should heed the warning, as Epic hasn’t been afraid to ban players in the past. If someone does get banned for not heeding this warning, we will likely hear about it shortly after it happens on social media.
