Eon Rush Studios, made up of developers from Far Cry, Watch Dogs, and Pokémon, is announcing its first title, Eon Rush. The company’s first game, likely named after the studio, bills itself as a cooperative action RPG that will see players traveling through the eons, and a very early demo of the game will be available at Gamescom.

The story will see players taking part in a war in time and space as they travel through both in a constant test of their strength and cunning. This title boasts a unique adventure for those who just want to play with fans and the ability to speedrun and beat other players’ scores. Whether or not players are able to defeat the encroaching threat of the Chronophage and save time itself will depend on their own abilities.

The Gamescom announcement trailer shows some brief 2.5D cinematics showing characters with fantasy weapons taking on a variety of mutants. It’s a large open-arena title, with players controlling top-down characters with varying attacks. The game is still very early in Alpha, according to a press release, but players will still be able to get their hands on it at Gamescom this year.

The developers list end-game PvE and PvP mechanics for the inspiration of the game, with a variety of immersive experiences promised for players who enjoy skipping the filler and getting into the action.
